Another day ...

Hello again! I've got the boys in bed and I've got a load of groceries (non-perishable, of course) waiting to be put away somewhere (curses this small kitchen with no place to store anything), floors that need mopping, rebates that need to be filled out and posted and email that needs to be looked at. But here I am on the computer, posting to all of you.

We had Ethan's PT today and Kris, our awesome therapist, had Ethan up on his hands and knees for quite awhile today. I know Ethan is just itching to crawl, so hopefully now that he is getting his arms straight at the same time he's got his knees under him, it won't be long!

Can I just tell you how wonderful my little Jack is? Well, he's not so little anymore (just over 3 feet tall and almost 40 pounds). The other day he told me, and I quote, "Dog gonit Mommy, we need to get you more flowers!" It was so sweet to hear. And then on Sunday, he and Daddy ran an errand and came home with flowers for me. Jason insisted that Jack mentioned it to him on the way to Home Depot and then reminded him when they got to the store to get the Sunday paper. I love that little guy!

And one more quick little story before I sign off and get some actual work done before it's too late...Jack likes to get up between 6:30 and 7 each morning and come into bed with us. I refuse to let him in before the sun comes up, as I don't want him to get in the habit of sleeping with us. Well, imagine to my surprise when I woke up about 2am Saturday morning to find him sleeping between me and Jason? He sure came in quietly, as I normally hear him padding down the hallway. I took him back to bed (with only a short protest from him) and he slept there the rest of the night but I thought it was pretty funny.

Jack really is a sweet kid. You guys have done such a great job with him but I think he also just has his own special personality!

I'm excited to see both of them again (as well as you too) and can't wait to see Ethan's progress in person.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

Master Closet Overhaul

We have this ridiculously large walk-in closet in our master bedroom and over time it has been overtaken with STUFF. So I decided I was tired of looking at the mess and it was time to clean it out and up.  Take a look...  I can't believe it went from this... To this!  I love walking in here now and actually find myself looking for reasons to go into my closet.  Along with just weeding out old clothes and items I no longer wore or needed (you should see the pile of stuff that was donated!) I made some changes to the room too.   One of them was my shoe racks. I've long wanted a tall shoe rack to go alongside the built in shelves but I knew it would never get off my husband's to-do list so I took matters into my own hands!!  It's not exactly what I had envisioned but it works and I'm happy with it. Thanks Target for the shelves.  Over the past few years I have developed a deep love for scarves and now own several....
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...
