Ethan and Jack

What an exhausting day! Ethan had a follow up eye appointment in the city this morning and it was a great visit. The doctor no longer sees any crossing of the eyes and says that Ethan doesn't need glasses (a very common trait with Down's babies). He did see some allergies in his eyes, so he gave us a prescription for drops if it starts to bother him (rubs his eyes a lot), which I haven't noticed yet. After running some errands we made it home with a few hours to get dinner on the table (early) before heading out to a 6pm make-up T-ball game for Jack. What a perfect evening to sit on the grass and watch some ball. It was about 80 degrees with a nice breeze and not a cloud in the sky! Gotta love springtime in Georgia. Yesterday was another nice 80+ degree day, so we met our friends Lisa and McKenna at the park in their neighborhood. The kids had the best time playing and Lisa and I had a good time catching up with each other. With a great week of weather ahead of us, h

The Move Is Almost Over

Well, another crazy weekend is behind us and we are closer to being fully moved into the new house. Friday we had an Occupational Therapist give Ethan an evaluation so we can get him started on weekly OT sessions. He did pretty good and she told us he was at about a 9-12 month age as far as what he can do. We're pretty happy with it and are just excited to get the therapy started. Saturday we had Jack's t-ball game and then back to moving into the new house. We picked up our new rug for the keeping room and are really happy with the way it looks in the room. It won't be long before it's covered in dog hair!!! We brought the dogs over this weekend to check out the new place and they were so happy to finally see where we've been going 10 times every weekend. Our street has dogs in about every house and they all roam free so it's nice to have more dogs in the neighborhood that don't care if our dogs run up to the them to say hi. In one of the backyards th

More New House Photos

We've made a couple trips up to the house this week taking more little things over. Every time we go, I hate having to leave. I can't wait to finally be living there. We're just waiting for the fence to be built, which should take a week or two..... This is the breakfast nook with our new table. We get our new rug for the keeping room this weekend and I'm so excited! Jack's bedroom, all ready to have the bed moved in. The view into Jack's bathroom and closet. This is the landing outside of the playroom. This is the playroom upstairs. I'm so excited to have such a big room upstairs for the boys to play in. I'm just hoping that Jack will actually play in it without me having to be up there with him, like he is now with our basement playroom! Ethan's room, which is too dark to see much of in this pic. The master bedroom, which seems to have been made for our big bedroom furniture! The master bathroom - the closet alone is bigger than Ethan's b

More Seattle Photos

It was so nice to see my friends while I was in town and I loved having a coffee playdate for the boys. Tabbi and Natasha have kids the same age as Jack and Ethan so it was a lot of fun for the boys to go over to Tabbi's to play, and it was so nice. And to have Janine (who lives nearby) join us was icing on the cake! One of Ethan's favorite things was to ride on Grandma Alice's "Cadillac" just like Jack used to at this age. Plus it was fun to show him off to all the other people at her home. They enjoyed seeing Ethan's smiling face riding around the place. The day before the wedding we headed into Seattle to Ride the Duck and see the Space Needle. We stopped at a park in Queen Anne, overlooking the city to get a photo of my favorite view of the city. It reminded me of living in Queen Anne numerous years ago! While riding on "The Duck" I got a great photo of the Pike Place Market, another of my favorite Seattle places. I used to work at the end

Seattle Trip

Another spring night in Georgia -- under another tornado watch! Hopefully I can get this posted before any really bad weather knocks the power out. Here are some photos and a few stories from our trip to Seattle. I took a ton of photos so it will take a few days to get them all posted. This was our first day / night in Seattle. Jason, Adele and Grandma Christy came over to visit. The boys were so happy to see everyone. We spent a lot of time with Grandma Alice and both see and the boys really enjoyed their time together. Auntie Jake came to visit the next day and Jack LOVED having all these people to play with! Every day he was asking who was coming to visit and play with him. Ethan had the best time playing with this balloon. On a visit with Uncle Jason they took a walk looking for Trolls. One of the best things about Jack is his willingness to help and do projects. Nana asked him to vacuum one day and then everyday after that he asked everyday if he could clean up. Every mess
