Back Deck Project

We have been meaning to pressure wash and restain our back deck for a couple years now but just never got around to it. Finally we bit the bullet and just did it, and boy did it turn our better than I expected. First Jason pressure washed everything!    So clean with all the junk removed and it all washed.  Then we all pitched in and painted. It was tough work (I was nursing a swollen arm from a bee sting and a broken toe) in the hot sun but it needed to be done and even the boys helped out.  We have been looking at new tables for the back deck for a couple years but have been unable to find anything that we really like that we can stomach paying for.  I really didn't want to bring the old glass table back onto the deck - we rarely use it for anything anymore and it really didn't look all that nice anymore. But Jason power washed it and made it look better. And then I got the idea to just get an outdoor table cloth to hide the yucky glass top. Now

Last Day of School

We finally made it... to the last day of school and off the bus! Can we officially call him a 4th grader now? Waiting for Ethan's bus... And here he is... A 1st grader! With his kindergartener brother. Let summer break begin!

Summer Garden

I love walking through the yard this time of year as all the plants start blooming. We spent so much time working to make it what it is today that I try and spend as much time as possible outside. I just have to mind the bees and the heat. LOL  Our sunflowers about half way there...  The front garden is starting to bloom as well. We still need to work on the front yard but everything is a work in progress.

Wyatt's Preschool Graduation

We are officially two days into summer vacation (not including the weekend) so I guess it's time to post end of school year festivities!!  These are pictures of Wyatt's Field Day - which he didn't want to do until he's buddy Matthew came along with him.  They loved the bounce houses and went from one to the other, over and over again!!  Then we stopped for a picnic lunch on the lawn. Here Wyatt is with Annie and Matthew. Annie shared me that Wyatt told her that she was going to marry her but considering how shy Wyatt can be and how outgoing she appears to be, I think it might have been the other way round. Regardless, this one will keep me on my toes!!  Wyatt took some money from his piggy bank and bought a couple Lego toys that he put together all by himself.  He was very proud.  Then it was preschool graduation day. Sniffle, sniffle.  Can you see him in the front in the middle?  Always so serious.
