What I Miss Most

We took advantage of a sunny, warm afternoon to spend some time down at the Des Moines Marina.  This is one of my favorite places to visit because I just love the view. We weren't the only ones with the idea -- the boys liked watching the puppy swimming too!  Ethan wasn't very adventurous, so he pretty much just parked it on the bench with Granddad.  But the draw of the water was too much for Jack or Wyatt to resist.  But we could still keep our eye on the others!  Jack loves to climb up on anything and everything and Wyatt wants to do everything his brother does.  I just love the view of the water - especially on a sunny day like this.  I think this is what I miss the most about living in Atlanta.  This was the view I saw everyday living in Seattle and I've had a hard time being so land-locked down here.  It was such a warm day that Jack just had to get in the water...  ...and go farther and farther out.  Luckily Wyatt was happy

Northwest Trek

Having visited Northwest Trek many times as a child and with my younger cousins, it was so much fun to take my kids out there to experience the animals.  We had a great tram ride and were able to see lots of animals.  Including buffalo...  ...rams...  ...elk...  ...and even the elusive moose!  We actually saw three different ones!  Then we walked through the exhibits and saw lots of different animals, including bears....  ... and crazy wild-eyed little boys.  It was a perfect summer day!  All three boys had fun.  I just love the otters.  It was fun to experience the day with Grandma, Uncle Spencer and Anna - the Cornwell side!  Cheers!  Grandma love!!!
