Summertime and the Living's Easy

A couple cool dudes in the backseat.  Summer vacation means time spent at the pool.  On the last day of school, after our tradition of getting frozen yogurt, we decided to drive up to Rome, GA to watch a baseball game.  This team is a farm team for the Atlanta Braves but it's great that it's so much smaller than the Atlanta stadium so we could get up close and see everything so well.  After sitting right behind the visitor's dugout we decided to move over to the field area so the boys could run around and play more.  Right before we moved over Jack got a ball - the last time he went to the Atlanta Braves game with Daddy, he got a ball too!  I love spending time with my boys.  If only Ethan would have sat still long enough to take a photo with us!  Since I'm never in any photos, I thought I would take some selfies with the boys.  Ethan had so much fun running around and playing with everyone. What a great way to kick off th

End of the School Year Parties

Wyatt's class party came first and it was a bit different. Normally it's an outside event where kids can just play at whatever activity they want, but this year it was a rainy day so they had to move it inside.  So they stayed with their class and moved from room activity to room activity.  Action shot of Wyatt bowling!!  Coloring.  Mmmm, popcorn.  Bean bag toss. After all the events we had a picnic lunch in his classroom, then good-bye school year.  The following week we headed to Ethan's class party.  Luckily we had nice weather and could play outside.  Ethan and Gwyn are such good friends!  I love seeing Ethan interact with other kids to play.  Lunch time!!  Next up we came in to get a gift from the teachers.  Ooooh, what do you have???  Pig pile on Daddy!  The last class party of the year was Jack's.  We had some fun outside play time and a Kona Ice!  Jack had lots of friends to play with and lots of

Ethan's Field Trip & Wyatt's Mother's Day Event

The week after Jack's Field Trip, I was fortunate to be able to go with Ethan on his Kindergarten Field Trip to the Tellus Museum. Unfortunately it was on the same day as Wyatt's Mother's Day lunch so I had to hustle to get from one to the other.  Ethan seemed to really enjoy himself and stayed on task for the most part.  I just love seeing how the other 'typical' kids enjoying having our 'special' kids in with them.  I left Ethan early and rushed to Wyatt's class just in time to see the class sing their songs.  He seemed happy to see me.

Jack's 2nd Grade Field Trip

Less than a week after our family trip to the zoo, Jack and I returned.  It has been YEARS since I've been on a school bus.  But it was fun to finally get to accompany Jack on a Field Trip.  This is his friend Jason, who was in my group.  I love seeing Jack and all his school friends interact.  This was the first time we got to see the mama lion and her cubs. The cubs were playing with each other a lot.  It was fun to watch. You can never get tired of a zoo visit.

Day At The Zoo

It had been awhile since we visited the zoo so off we went! I love this photo of the boys looking at the flamingos and Wyatt checking out the map.   Checking out the hippos.  Is it getting close to me???  Giraffe's are mine and Jack's favorite animal so this was the highlight for us both - feeding them!!! Should we leave these three with the other animals at the zoo? Nah, think we'll take them with us when we go!!
