End of Winter Break

We all get a little stir crazy by the end of the Christmas/Winter break.  Wyatt made good use of our New Year's Eve horns by walking around the house blowing two at one time, silly boy!  We then escaped for an evening at the bowling alley. The only problem was we had to wait for a lane and then had to spend time/money in the arcade in the front while we waited.  The boys had a lot of fun, but they started to get cranky before we even made it to the bowling part of the evening -- the whole reason we even came.  But they enjoyed themselves, nonetheless.  Jack and his friend Zac got really creative one evening and made a bunch of zip lines for some Star Wars toys. By the end of the night we had several different lines going from the second to the first floor of the house. I love seeing their imagination and creativity at work.

Happy New Year 2017

Our annual Family New Year's Eve party was so much fun this year. I found these fun photo props that were a riot!  Happy New Year, Jack!  I'm normally so bad at taking photos that I spent a few minutes at the start of the party trying to snap everyone. We had lots of friends join us this year.  The lacrosse moms, and part of the reason I love the sport so much.  These boys have been playing lacrosse together for so many years and have truly become great friends. I can't believe they are all off to middle school this next school year.  Always dabbing... This kid is always photo bombing our pictures. And Jason is a goof ball.  Wyatt was cracking me up marching around the house blowing on the horn, hands at his side. And Ethan was just taking it all in.  Party People!  Friends!  They made it to midnight -- and a bit beyond -- but it was tough. Cheers to a wonderful 2017!

Christmas Review

I can't believe it's almost March and I still haven't posted all my pictures from the holidays. It's safe to say we've had a very busy year. So, forgive the late post but here are our Christmas pictures. And what a better one to start with but this one of the boys, all looking at me and somewhat smiling at the same time. I think this might be my favorite photos of the boys so far. I love the way Ethan is sitting with his leg up on the bottom step; he looks about 14 with that attitude.  While Jason and I enjoyed watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, the boys decided to write their letters to Santa. I love how intense they were with them.  Then it was time to sprinkle the reindeer food on the front lawn before bed.  I couldn't get Jack or Ethan to join this photo so here's Wyatt leaving the letters and cookies and milk for Santa.  Wyatt's very artistic letter to Santa.  Jack's artistic letter to Santa.
