Christmas With The Cornwell's

Christmas morning...seeing the tree for the first time!  Still waking up!  Wyatt is diving right in.  Power Rangers!!!  Santa brought this Lego castle for Jack but Wyatt had more fun with it.  Stockings...  ...for everyone.  Santa brought Wyatt his own Legos!!  Halo 4 -- really, Santa?!?!  Our puppy dogs, right in the middle of the action.  It's hard to see Stanley here, he looks so sad.  Ethan gets easily overwhelmed by all the gifts so he takes the longest.  He gets one unwrapped and then if he likes it he only has eyes for that one.  Jack got his own tablet this year.  I think this is my favorite photo from Christmas morning.  Dressed and ready to celebrate our next round of Christmas gifts with Nana and Granddad via the computer.    Our musical Ethan loved his guitar.  Granny got the boys blankets so they were covering themselves in them.  Wyatt's goes over his head.  E

Christmas Eve

Jack and Wyatt had fun entertaining themselves Christmas Eve morning by layering all of Jack's clothes on Wyatt -- here is the end result!!  We had a pretty calm day and didn't do much.  Jack wasn't feeling well and it got worse the closer to bedtime we got.  We did go for a drive to see Christmas lights before bedtime and then when we got home we got our Christmas cookies ready for Santa. Then we got the boys to bed and the house all ready for Santa's arrival...      Santa brought this cool Lego castle for Jack but Wyatt has had more with it then Jack, although he gets too excited and tends to break it.  Jack made a Christmas list for Santa for the boys and left it for Santa by the cookies.  In green crayon was Santa's thank you for the cookies.  I love the Christmas tree all filled with pretty packages and gifts for the boys before they come and open everything and destroy the look.  LOL Merry Christmas Eve!

Got My Decorating Mojo On

I promise I will get back to posting my Christmas pictures (along with my Thanksgiving pictures and even way back to our Seattle trip ... oh my goodness) but I wanted to share my New Year decorating photos as it took me awhile to get my decorating mojo on and I know several others who were looking for their inspiration too!  I love the newness of a new year (is that redundant?) so I like to switch things up and not do the same thing over and over, although I do like some elements that are the same, as you will see in the photos.  This photo above showcases how I finally think I have overcome my biggest issue - trying to hid the cables from the computer modem.  Not sure if it's the best, but for what I'm working with I'm FINALLY happy.  I started with adding a small lamp, which I love.  I'm a big fan of light coming from other sources other than just overhead.  It's taken me awhile to incorporate light sources in the rooms, but I'm doing it slowly.  I
