Happy Halloween

Welcome to our Halloween home...      Daddy was getting into the Halloween fun with Jack's costume.  Our little Blue's Clues puppy dog!!  He got LOTS of compliments on how cute he was.  We were able to get him to say "trick treat."  Wyatt did not want to get his photo taken so he kept turning every time I snapped the camera. But he is a Power Ranger in a costume that's about 5 times too big, so we had to roll up the legs and sleeves and pin them - LOL.  Growing up, my mother would always make us pumpkin face hamburgers (pumpkin faces cut into the cheese with no bun) and I made that for Jack the first year we lived in our current home but he didn't like them so I've been making mummy dogs (crescent rolls in strips wrapped around hot dogs) ever since and the boys LOVE them!!  Jack was a creeper from the game Minecraft - everyone loved his costume.  Happy Halloween from the Cornwell boys!!  Jack's loot after his fir

Ethan's School Life

I often wonder how Ethan really does at school and how he will adjust to being in a typical classroom as opposed to a special needs one.  I know it will be an adjustment and something that his teachers and I will have to work on but I know inclusion is best for everyone. And the best personal example I can share is that I was walking down the hall at school last week after volunteering in Ethan's classroom and all the second graders were going back to their classrooms from one of their specials (I was able to see Jack too - and extra bonus to my day).  One little girl who we had seen out at dinner one night and said hi to Ethan and again in the hallway one morning saying hi to Ethan, stopped me to ask me if I was Ethan's mom. When I replied yes she told me how much she liked him and that he was her favorite. It made my heart smile!
