Happy Thanksgiving

We hope you had as nice a Thanksgiving as we did! Jason came home early Thursday morning and the boys were so excited to see him. It took Ethan about 15 minutes to warm up but after that, as soon as Jason left the room he would either crawl after him or cry. We had a nice dinner and then nice video chats with Grandma Christy, followed by Nana and Granddad and all the aunts and uncles gathered there....it's definitely hard to be so far away on the holidays. Here are the boys opening up their Thanksgiving cards from Nana and Granddad. Followed by playtime with Daddy!

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggidy Jig

Our last day in Florida was spent playing miniature golf. Jack had the best time and even got a hole-in-one on one round that took Mom and me at least 3-4 strikes to get the ball in! Ethan enjoyed crawling around and checking things out and Dad kept score. A good time was had by all, until it was time to leave and then Jack threw a fit, as he wanted to play the other side! This kid is never satisfied... This is Jack pouting when it was time to leave! We had a very eventful trip home on Thursday. We left early, hoping to get home early, only to have car trouble in the middle of nowhere Georgia. First we pulled over to use the bathroom and then the car wouldn't start. A helpful man gave us a jump and then we headed down the road to find a place to check the battery. Well, as we were driving, all the lighted displays started flashing and the gages stopped working. Afraid the car would just stop working I pulled over only to have the car completely die. To make a long story s

Space Shuttle Launch

After returning from seeing the manatee's, we got to witness one of the last 6 shuttle launches. It was a beautiful day and was so powerful to watch. We've been very lucky in that we have now seen a launch each time we've been down here these past two years. Last year was a night launch and this time it was daylight (obviously). Jack really seemed to enjoy it, and I know I really got a thrill out of it! Here is Ethan surfing on Jack's boogie board! When we were at Blue Springs Park, I bought the boys each a stuffed animal. Jack got a manatee and Ethan picked out an alligator. Before dinner we drove down to the oldest lighthouse in the area and found a play park for the boys to get some energy out. You can see the lighthouse in the background in some of these photos.

The Start of a Busy Day

We had a busy day on Monday, so I've broken up the photos into the morning and the afternoon. After a quick dip in the pool, we headed out to Blue Springs Park to see the Manatees. It was a beautiful day and we had the opportunity to see over 45 manatee in the park. It was a perfect morning spent at the park but we had to hurry home to make sure we got to see the space shuttle launch!
