Grandma Alice's 99th Birthday Party

One of the reason's I came up to visit with the boys was because my maternal grandmother celebrated her 99th birthday on July 3rd.  We had originally planned to travel next year for her 100th but I decided I didn't want to wait another year, as it had been almost two years since we had been back already.  It was a nice excuse to get together with the family and meet all my cousin's new (to us) babies!!  Jack loved having older cousins to play with.  And, of course, Wyatt just wanted to follow along where ever Jack went.  Ethan was more content to sit with Nana and play.  My cousin, cousin-in-law and their kids.  Wyatt wants to know, what's going on up there?  Here comes the birthday girl!  We were set up in the little park that is part of her nursing home and it was such a lovely day for an outdoor party.  We got her all set up by her cake...  And got her ready to visit with the family.   The great-grandchildren.

Our Summer Seattle Visit, Part 1 of Many

I had meant to get to this a long time ago but life has gotten in the way....school started, Jason left for his two week Army training, we all got sick (Jason with pneumonia), work with Willow House was occupying a lot of my time, excuses, excuses, excuses.  Now I'm finding myself with a better work/life schedule so hopefully I can get caught up! Anyway, these are some photos from our trip to Seattle this past July.  The boys and I had so much fun and had beautiful weather.  This first posting of photos was from our first full day and how we spend many of our evenings, out in Nana's front yard running around and burning off energy.  It's so nice to see how the boys played well together and really enjoyed their surroundings.  Here they are helping Nana pick flowers from her yard to fill her door bucket with.  And it such a beautiful yard to spend time i.  Ethan really enjoyed his time with Auntie Jake!  Jack is such a goofball sometimes -
