Awaiting Aunt Delly

We got a box in the mail from Granny Annie last week and what a great box is was -- full of clothes for the boys! Now I don't have to do any school or fall shopping. We LOVE Granny!!!

In the box was a Spiderman swimshirt which goes perfectly with Jack's Spiderman swimshorts, Spiderman swim goggles and Spiderman sandals.

Over the weekend Jack and I were busy adding a little color to the yard. We planted some Black Eyed Susan's along the driveway and some Curcuma's in the backyard by the deck. Jack has become such a big help for me and insists that he helps with EVERYTHING!

Jack was so cute posing with all the plants!!

We also did some shopping over the weekend to pick up some good deals that I wanted to highlight here to help people out, should they be looking at ways to save more.

Below is the Kellogg's Fuel For School promotion where you buy 10 items and get a $10 check. I bought mine at Target where I also took advantage of a promotion where you buy 5 Keebler (Kellogg's product) and get a $5 Target gift card. So I was able to get $15 dollars back for buying these items, which were on sale and a coupon used for each!
Below I took adavantage of Kmarts toy sale - an additional 50% off clearance toys. Here I bought over $120 worth of toys for only $35 and now I have stuff on hand for birthdays and Christmas. And with a playgroup that has at least 9 birthdays between August and March, this is a nice start to a toy stockpile!

We're anxiously awaiting the arrival of Aunt Delly tomorrow afternoon so I've been busy cleaning the house. While I was in the great room cleaning, Ethan crawled over to play underneath the easle. It was so cute.

Ethan now make a brrmmm noise when playing with cars. He seems to really be immulating his brother these days.

Jack is really growing up, the other night he talked to Daddy on the phone for almost 40 minutes. It was a lot of rambling but both seemed to enjoy themselves and I was able to get Ethan to bed without Jack in the room to distract Ethan.

While on the phone, Daddy asked Jack to draw him some pictures for his apartment up in North Carolina, so today, Jack spent most of the day working on his pictures. It kept Jack busy and let me get more cleaning done.

I was able to get Ethan up on the chair to color with Jack, although he really just wanted to throw the color crayons off the table. But it was good exercise for Ethan to work up at the table. I've got to take every advantage I can to turn some playtime into therapy time without him knowing I'm doing it. He's doing so much better with everything, I've got to make him work more.

This is a picture of how Jack washes his hands in the kitchen. I had no idea this was how he was doing it but once I saw it I had to get a photo of it.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
