Merry Christmas

I know it's been almost a week since Christmas, but better late than never, right? It's been a crazy couple of weeks and I'm still living in Christmas mess.

We spent our Christmas Eve next door with our Georgia family, like we do every year. It just wouldn't be Christmas without it!

The kids exchanged gifts and had a blast playing and keeping their eye on Santa via the internet!

After the party we scurried home to get ready for Santa. Jack got into his pj's and then got the milk and cookies ready for Santa.

Ethan fell asleep before we even got him home, I think!

Just before 8am Jack crept into the bedroom to let us know that Santa came and delivered all his presents. It's so much fun to experience Christmas through the eyes of little ones.

Santa brought Jack a Big Wheel and Ethan a little driving toy. Jack had a blast opening up all the presents and since Ethan didn't really care too much, Jack helped open his too.

Ethan really seemed to enjoy the wrapping paper once it was already off the present. We got him to pull it off a couple gifts but only a little pull here and there.

The dogs got a plush chew toy and guarded them with their lives!

The one thing Jack asked Santa for over and over was a Space Shuttle and Santa did not disappoint! He hasn't put that thing down since he got it.

And even though we didn't have any family here in town to celebrate with us, we were able to get Nana and Grandad on the computer for a video conference in the morning. They got to watch the boys open up their gifts and we got to watch them open theirs. It was great to be able to share our Christmas with them.

Later in the afternoon we were able to get Grandma Christy and Uncle Spencer online as well and have another video gift giving session. The wave of the future!

The aftermath of the morning gift explosion. We need a bigger house - or less presents!!
Jack got a play kitchen from his Granny Annie and has been cooking for us ever since.

It was a wonderful couple of days for all of us Cornwell's and very exhausting. Now we're just enjoying our last week with Daddy before he departs for his first stage of Army training at Ft. Benning.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
