The Cornwell's European Vacation - Prague Day 1

Off we go via train from Vienna to Prague in the Czech Republic.

I was so excited to travel by train so that I could really see the countryside. It just feels different. It was about a four hour train ride and we enjoyed a lovely beer and the rowdy group of young men off on some adventure!

A better view of the train platform.

And a kiss from a handsome husband.

We got off the train and followed the herds - and the rowdy mates - down to the streets. We went from 90 and sunny in Vienna to rainy and cooler in Prague - but it didn't last long.

We tried to get a taxi to the hotel but it was a mess (long line and no taxi's coming) so we decided to just walk it, since it was only a mile or so. Plus, we got to walk right through the old town and it was beautiful.

Trying to capture the look but it was so much more in person.

We finally made it to our hotel, a little place called The Four Season's.

We had a couple hours before the first party so we made the most of it by grabbing a quick bite in a amazing restaurant across the street and then just started walking and taking it all in.

The Charles Bridge - we didn't walk across it this time but certainly came back.

Prague was the only city not hit by the Nazis so it still has all it's old world charm.

Then it was back to the hotel to get ready for the Welcome Reception.
We didn't take any photos but it was held at the Royal Gardens of Prague Castle and was absolutely gorgeous. The company did an amazing job (wish we took some pictures).

But we got some pictures of our "after party." We found an Ice Bar while we were out walking earlier so when we got back from the party we and one of Jason's sales guys and his wife (good friends of ours) headed to the bar. They put you in these big parkas and give you gloves but Kellie and I weren't thinking and showed up in sandals. Oops. They only let you stay in there for 10 minutes and that was a few too long for us.

Even the glasses were made of ice.
Cheers!

It was very fun and a great experience!

And when we got back to our hotel room the first of the nightly gifts arrived, local chocolate and a bottle of local wine.

We drank the wine but brought the chocolates home to share with everyone.
I love being spoiled.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
