Boys At Play

I have a lot of catching up to do...I had hoped to get more done over the holiday's but there was at least one sick person in this house our entire vacation!  Now I've got to spend some time posting.
I'll start with showing you how Wyatt entertains himself while his brothers are at school.  Just like Jack he LOVES to be outside and is pretty good about playing on his own, although he loves it when the other kids are out there or a dog!!  And just like Jack, he loves playing with construction trucks - building, dumping, scooping...
But he's also got an active imagination inside.  He is all boy and loves cars and trucks and things that go vroom!
He was quite proud of his long train of cars lined up and made sure I took lots of pictures of them.
We started our Christmas decorating right after Thanksgiving this year so the boys could fully enjoy everything.  Jingle James, our Elf on the Shelf, got himself into lots of mischief this year - and Jack and Wyatt loved looking for him everyday.
While it looks like Wyatt is looking at the elf, he really is eying the M&M's in a bowl on the sideboard.  He loves his candy!!
But wasn't as fond of the candy canes like Jack and Jingle James!
Wyatt loves this gun and it always cracks me up to see him carrying it around as it's bigger than he is.
Here he's got the gun and a shield (hard to see) and is defending me from all the bad guys (he watches Jack play too many video games).
 I'm going to get you!

I love how well the kids all play together (when they want to).  Here we had a playdate with Savannah from a few houses up.  Even Ethan got in on the action.

Jason has been painstakingly painting lots and lots of miniatures and Jack has been so anxious to paint his own so Jason finally got him set up.
 And he loved it.
This is what happens when Wyatt doesn't take a nap -- he passes out with toys still in his hand right around 5pm.
I tried really hard to find activities to do with the boys every afternoon.  Of course, once everyone got sick we stopped doing so much but the boys really loved making Reindeer Food - which we gave to the teachers for gifts.
All the extra work with Ethan is paying off, as he really enjoyed helping out and I know it was good for him too.
Wyatt just wants to be Jack!
And Jack is a great older brother - helping Ethan and Wyatt.

I can't believe how big Jack is getting.
Yummy, yummy!

Our final product, made with love by the Cornwell boys!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
