School Christmas Parties

Jason, Wyatt and I were able to enjoy both Ethan and Jack's class Christmas parties.

Ethan's class decorated gingerbread cookies and even Wyatt got to make one!

This is Ethan's classroom and all his friends. Gwyn is the only girl in the class and she is a friend of our outside of school as well. Whenever Ethan sees her he always greets her with a big smile and a "Gwyn!!!"

This is really good OT for him and he did a great job.

He didn't like getting frosting on his fingers but then I put it to his mouth and he liked it a little better.

Wyatt really enjoyed being a part of the activities.

After the cookie decorating the kids had a book exchange.

It was so much fun to see Ethan in class and how he interacts with his classmates and listens to his teacher. There's always room for improvement but he really does well at school and I know he loves it there.

Jack's class party was a bit different this year. They had all the 1st grade classes (I think there were 9 of them) come into the gym for some Christmas caroling. Each class had their own song and then they did group songs too. That's Jack's class in the background...can you find Jack?

After the songs we all went into the cafeteria for cookies and juice.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. We had looked in there back before Ethan was born and fell in love with the place so we thought we'd just take a look and see how much i

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back.
