Spring Cleaning

Hope you all had a nice St. Patrick's Day.  We didn't do anything exciting to celebrate, in fact, I didn't even decorate for it this year.  We have been so hot here lately (in the 80s until yesterday) that it felt like we had skipped Spring altogether and moved right into Summer.  So I focused more attention on playing outside with the boys.  But the silly leprechaun did visit us while the boys were playing and left them a Shamrock with some gold coins tucked inside.

Jack found the plant and coins at dinnertime!
 Wyatt is always shooting something!

Even though Jack and Wyatt like to shoot things together, I'm so happy that Ethan and Wyatt still enjoying playing together too!
I've been in the (sad) process of transforming Wyatt's room from nursery to toddler room.  We've decided not to repaint (too much effort and I really like the green room, especially since both Jack and Ethan have blue rooms) and have found a nice construction truck theme that will work with the color.  I started by taking out the changing table (that we haven't been using for MONTHS) and brought in the dresser that had been in Ethan's room.
Eventually we will take out the chest of drawers with the hutch on top once we get some shelves to go in it's place.  The next thing will be to take down the Pooh Bear pictures and replace them with the truck pictures.  I love that Wyatt is growing up, but it's also sad to see the baby room that we've had for the past seven years finally get packed up (for good).  Bittersweet....
Since Ethan's bunkbed has drawers and cupboards all over it, we took out the chest of drawers (now in Wyatt's room) so that he has more room to play in his room.  I do want some shelves to go on his walls so I can put his photos and piggy bank out, but for now it works.

My boys are growing up!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was

The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. We had looked in there back before Ethan was born and fell in love with the place so we thought we'd just take a look and see how much i

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back.
