Getting Into Our Routine

We're now into week three of school and getting our routine down pat. Jason started back at his civilian job last week and left yesterday for his first travel week. I have a feeling that life will be crazy from here on out!

This picture of Ethan says it all. We are all exhausted by the end of the day.

My biggest troublemaker is the youngest member of this family. While Wyatt is getting used to being with just me in the mornings, it hasn't stopped him from getting into anything and everything. I wasn't fast enough with my camera to capture him all the way in the box, but this is him exploring what he can do with it.

He's at the height now where he can get into a whole lot more and he's clever enough to find something to use to help him get into MORE trouble! It's almost impossible to get any work down with him around. I've been so busy this month with my Willow House business but I'm finding it a challenge to get much done, as I have to occupy Wyatt until he goes down for a nap, just in time for Ethan to get home from school and then I need to feed and entertain him until Wyatt wakes up and then Jack is home and it just gets crazier around here. We're in the process of getting Jason's home office up and running and I'm looking forward to getting some doors put on the office so that I can go in there, shut the door and make some calls when I have a minute or two!

I'm noticing a theme here with Ethan's photos!

And with Wyatt's! I have to pull the chairs away from the table all the time now because I can't keep him off the table. And he is lightening quick!

Here are some photos that I forgot to post of Jason's latest way to entertain himself and the boys. He spent the last part of the summer building a slot car track. The kids LOVE it - especially Wyatt who will climb up onto the table and sit in the middle of the track to put the cars on it. And then fuss until someone comes and races them.

We are still loving the backyard; maybe even more so now that the weather has cooled a bit (or at least became less humid).

Our backyard garden is much fuller and lush now but you can see all the veggies we have growing. Jack is loving the green bell pepper, the tomatoes and even the jalapeno peppers! We should be getting the cucumbers soon too.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
