Wyatt's First Birthday!

Wow, I just realized it has been over a month since I posted anything. I've been so crazy busy with the boys and with work. So to make up for it, here are a ton of photos from Wyatt's first birthday -- two parties worth!

Wednesday was his first birthday so we had a quiet celebration at home with Grandma Christy. He looks so excited to be one, doesn't he?

Here are his cakes, one for him to smash and one for the rest of us. Of course, I wasn't about to give him the whole cake to smash and eat, so I cut it in half.

Little did he know what he was about to get. Sweet deliciousness!

I finally have a child that knows what to do with his birthday cake! Both Jack and Ethan had to have their cake fed to them, but Wyatt knew exactly what to do!

Wyatt really enjoyed his new toy car. You can roll it on the floor and make it zoom, but it's way more fun to pick it up and carry it instead!!

Nana and Granddad showed up on Thursday and with them came Nana's iPod with games! At first Ethan just enjoyed watching Jack play but then he wanted to play himself. Look at that smile!

Then on Saturday we had party #2, with Nana, Granddad and our good friends from up the street. Both Ethan and Wyatt loved the cake and Wyatt had so much fun he ended up in the bathtub again!

Present time!

Jack shows him how to do it!

Jason hated having to wait, but I made him stick it out for a year, as I did with all the boys. But today Jason finally got his wish to cut Wyatt's hair. And it looks so cute! He's now a little boy.

He didn't even cry! I think he fussed once but that was about it. What do you think? He looks just like his brothers.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
