Jack's Preschool Graduation

Where does the time go??? Friday morning, Jack "graduated" from preschool! Jason had a knee doctor appointment that he was unable to reschedule, so he took Ethan (I didn't want to have to deal with both him and Wyatt if I didn't have too, plus it's good for him to get one-on-one Daddy time).

This is Jack entering his school (it's part of a very large Baptist church) and I was so focused on getting a good shot of the church behind him that I didn't notice that his zipper is coming down or that his shirt is coming up! Good job Mommy.
Wyatt and I dropped him off in his classroom and then found a seat in the sanctuary. Wyatt did really well and even enjoyed sitting on the seat next to me for a bit. There was a lot of watch, so I'm sure that helped.

I always thought graduations from anything but high school or college was silly and a waste of time, but as soon as they started playing the music and the kids came in with their graduation caps, the tears started forming and I had to work hard the ENTIRE time to keep from bawling like a baby! It's so hard to see your kids grow up, even though you really want them too.

All the kids sang together and then each class had their own song. I love how Jack stood there singing with his hands in his pockets!!

Then we headed back to his classroom to get him before heading upstairs for cake and punch. Here he got his graduation certificate and his own bible. And after each kid got theirs, they all said the same thing, "can I take my hat off? The pins are hurting my head!"

Jack had such a great time going to school here and he met his best friend Bryce in class last year! We are hoping to get them into the same sport for the fall so that they don't go into shock not being in class together anymore!

Jack had really fantastic teachers this year, Ms. Sharron (above) and Ms. Barbara. And while I'm so glad that I won't have to drive Jack to school anymore, I sure am going to miss this.

But I guess Wyatt will end up here in a couple more years and we'll get to do it all over again. I feel more tears welling up!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
