Around the House and Visiting with the Grandparents

We are slowly getting our formal living room complete. After finding the couch a few weeks ago, we found the perfect rug for the room. We have picked out a beautiful sideboard to go along the wall between this room and the kitchen that we hope to get in the next couple of months. Then a few lamps and we'll be done! I'm so happy with the way the room has turned out and can't wait for the boys to get a bit bigger so all the toys can stay upstairs!

I have been having so much fun playing in the dirt and adding some much needed color to the front of the house. I now fully enjoy my front porch and feel that it is a very welcoming entryway. I love sitting out here watching the boys play in the front yard and in the cul-de-sac.

Jack had fun getting our new sofa and bar stools delivered ... he sat in each new items as it was brought in! The room feels so much warmer and inviting now that we have four bar stools along the counter. I envision three little boys in the very near future doing their homework up there while I'm making dinner.

I love fresh flowers in the house and have been using lots of my Willow House product to display them!

Don't you just love the fuzzy hair on Wyatt?!? He desperately needed a hair cut and I can't believe Jason actually went along with me in not getting his hair cut until he turned 1

We had so much fun having Grandma in town, followed by a visit from Nana and Granddad. The only one missing was Granny! Hopefully we can her here soon....The boys love having their family here.

Wyatt just loves to be outside and his favorite thing to do is slide. I just wish he could climb up the ladder and slide down by himself, like Ethan.

Nana always brings her iPod game with her when she visits and the boys love playing on it. It's so cute to see Ethan watching Jack play. He picks up on everything, as you will see him below playing the games too!

So cute!!!

Now the big thing is to go out into the driveway and ride on the tricycle. We're getting close to the Big Wheel for Ethan but his legs are still just a tad too short.

But both he and Wyatt LOVE to ride this. We'll go around and around on this thing. Wyatt will even try to push it himself...

We had such a nice visit with everyone!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
