Ethan's Birthday Party

We celebrated Ethan's birthday last weekend with a party with his friends at The Little Bear's Playground (an indoor play area designed for special needs kids) and everyone had a blast! It was fun to get together with everyone and just let the kids burn off some energy.

Ethan has been walking a lot more lately and this place is perfect for him to hone his skills. It's amazing to see the progress he's been making. And even Wyatt has been growing up by leaps and bounds. He won't be far behind Ethan in his walking (and then life will get much better for Mommy!).

There is so much to do here - it's perfect for kids of all ages!

Here, Ethan just stood up and walked across the room.

Here is a group shot of some of Ethan's friends and family that came to celebrate with us.

Big loves for Mommy!

We had such a busy day on Saturday that we left the gift opening for Sunday afternoon. And this year Ethan fully understood what was going on and had so much fun opening all his gifts.

Thank goodness for the iMac. We were able to share the afternoon with Nana and Granddad - the closest we could get to celebrating birthday's with Ethan and Granddad.

Unfortunately, right after the celebrations, Jason and I came down with a 24 hours stomach bug. Luckily we didn't have it at the same time (Jason was Sunday and I was Monday) but it knocked us both out while we had it. I've been trying to play catch up ever since and still feel like I haven't gotten there yet...

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...
