Happy St. Patrick's Day

We are four days out of Springing Forward to daylight savings time but we're still having a hard time getting our bodies adjusted. To help get Jack downstairs for breakfast this morning I told him he had a surprise waiting for him from the leprechaun. That seemed to do the trick and he came down to his seat at the table to find a little pot o' gold coins! He was very excited to have more money to put into his piggy bank!

But it wasn't long before he was asking "how long until I get something else in my little pot?" We had a long talk about how the holiday's only come once a year (365 days he has to wait) before we shifted our attention to Easter and what the Easter Bunny might bring him. Of course, I had made the mistake of buying a Star Wars egg decorating kit with him present, so now I get asked everyday, "can we color eggs today?" What was I thinking!?!

Jack helped Ethan with his pot of gold, as all Ethan wanted to do was toss the pot all over the house!

We had St. Patrick's Day cards to open from Nana and Granddad, so we got them on the computer while the boys opened up their cards. They were very excited to get the cards and more gold coins to put in their banks.

Now I just have to think of something yummy for dinner that the boys will actually eat....

Hope you all have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
