Another Crazy Week

We welcomed March in with another couple inches of snow. Hopefully with March coming in like a lion it will go out like a lamb! It's supposed to be in the low to mid 60s this weekend so I'm hopeful.

Jack got let out of school early on Tuesday due to the snow and immediately headed outside to play with his soldiers.

Ethan is finally feeling better and I'm back to my nesting stage, getting the house in order and ready for baby Wyatt to arrive. Now we just have to deal with Jason and his uncertain future.

He finally spoke to the surgeon in Atlanta, who told him he had the knee of a 67 year old! He was hopeful that Jason could be fixed and return to his training, but didn't know if it was going to be an 8 week or 8 month healing process (depends on exactly what kind of surgery is needed).

Then today he spoke to the military surgeon PA and was told the knee was pretty bad and he didn't think Jason would be able to continue on with his training but couldn't say for sure until the surgeon took a look at it. So now we wait until April 2nd for that appointment. In the meantime, Jason has another appointment to see the neck surgeon to deal with the bulging disc's in his back in mid-March. Through all this we are remaining positive and hopeful that he will be able to return to fulfilling his dream!

We finally got the last piece of furniture we ordered back in December delivered this week and we all love the ottoman. The boys have especially been having fun playing on it.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
