Monring with Aunt Delly's Horse

One of the highlights of our Seattle trip was going with Aunt Delly and Uncle Jason to see Adele's horse Rocket. Jack was very excited and had no fear at all. For Ethan, it took a bit longer to warm up to the animals. He clung tight for quite sometime, while Jack got right to work feeding Rocket an apple and then helping Aunt Delly to get him ready to ride!












Jack jumped right on Rocket with Aunt Delly and before long, was riding by himself!



























We finally got Ethan to warm up to Rocket, which is a great relief, as I really want him to do Hippa Therapy (OT and PT while on a horse) in a couple years and it would be awful if we waited until then to introduce him to horses only to have him be scared and not try it at all. At least now he has been introduced and we can get him more familiar over time.













Jack LOVED every minute of this day and when we left, Rocket gave him a little kiss goodbye (or so I like to think!).







Later that evening I got together with my girls and had a fun afternoon/evening catching up with everyone. I'm looking forward to going back in September for our 20 year HS reunion. Do we really look like we graduated from HS 20 years ago? I'm so lucky to have these gals in my life. Can't wait for our next girls trip somewhere fun!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well.  We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Summer is Lacrosse

 This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals.
