Back Home Safe and Sound

Just a quick blog because it's late and it's been a long week. We made it home Sunday night and have been going ever since. We got home about 7pm and headed straight across the street to our neighborhood Super Bowl Party. It was nice to meet the neighbors we haven't met yet and let the kids play while the house warmed up! Plus, I finally got a chance to get Ethan together with our 12 year old neighbor who I want to start babysitting for us. And they hit it off and spent the whole night together. Now I just need to find an excuse to hire her...

I had my three hour glucose test on Tuesday and the biggest waste of three hours. Of course everything came back fine but when I left I was really weak. Turns out that my blood sugar level was at 40 when the normal cut off is 160. This is what happens when a pregnant woman doesn't eat for 14 hours!!!

Today was Jack's preschool Valentine's Day party. These pictures are of Jack and his best friend Bryce.

Ethan had fun at the party too - he saw someone's dad and crawled right over and wanted to be picked up. Do you think he misses Daddy? Good thing Jason is coming home tomorrow for a three day weekend.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. We had looked in there back before Ethan was born and fell in love with the place so we thought we'd just take a look and see how much i

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back.
