Quick Update

We've been enjoying having Nana and Granddad in town this week and are getting ready for the beach. Jack has been loving having Granddad here and almost follows him everywhere he goes. This morning he got up at 6:30a and was sitting at the top of the stairs looking down at their bedroom door waiting for them to get up!

We head out Saturday for almost two weeks at the beach -- Daytona Beach, FL. We're looking forward to some hot weather and a trip to NASA! Jack can't wait to see a real space shuttle.

The above photo is of Jack playing in the rain, and then him stripping down once he came inside soaked. He didn't want to go upstairs to get clothes so he stayed in his undies.

These photos are of the boys playing out on the deck and Jack moving the furniture so that Ethan wouldn't climb (or fall) down the stairs. What a good brother to look out for his little brother like that!

Ethan's had a big week too! He's been talking a lot more. His OT was singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" to him and he started singing "row, row" with her. Then I was reading him a book about dinosaurs and told them they say "roar" and he started repeating "roar." It's so great to hear so much out of him, and real words at that!

I'll try and keep the blog updated with beach photos over the next couple of weeks!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was

The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. We had looked in there back before Ethan was born and fell in love with the place so we thought we'd just take a look and see how much i

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back.
