Sick Boys

I've been dealing with sick boys for the past week. We were enjoying a lovely spring evening playing in the cul-de-sac and on the way down the driveway, Jack tripped over his scooter and got a big cut in his leg.

This past weekend Ethan was suffering with a 101+ degree temp. It finally broke today and he's back to his usual self. He had been really quiet and not wanting to interact much but he's smiling and laughing more now.

And even Jason has been suffering this past week. He tore or strained a muscle in his neck that extends down his arm to his fingers. He finally got in to see a doctor this past week and was able to get some pain medication. But he can't get in for an MRI until the end of next week. Hopefully it won't be anything that won't heal itself (and quick!).

We took full advantage of the sunny days (in between all the spring showers) to spend as much time outside as possible. One night we were out back and I asked Jack to bring a toy out for Ethan. Every time he went back in he would grab a handful of toys and then say, "just one more Mommy." Before I knew it, half the toys from inside were outside.

We had Jack's last t-ball game of the season on Saturday and were lucky that we had a 9am game. By 10:30a it was pouring rain and the remaining games for the day were all called.

We were smart enough to enjoy dinner on the back deck the night before!

Jason slept most of the day on Saturday (pain meds) but we were able to put Jack's bunk bed together Saturday night and got pictures up on the wall today so it finally looks like we've fully moved in. We can't wait now to have a party and some visitors so we can fully appreciate how big the place is!!

Ethan loves this tunnel as much as Jack did and inches his way through it faster than Jack could crawl!
It's funny, when we found out that Ethan had Down syndrome, one of the first things I was worried about was that he wouldn't be seen as cute as Jack was. I was always getting stopped by people telling me how cute he was. Well, I shouldn't have worried, as I get stopped more than I did with Jack. And it's always the same comment, what an angel he is. And Jason and I couldn't agree more.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
