Living in the New House

We spent our first night in the house Saturday night and have been loving it ever since. Of course, we're still unpacking and finding homes for everything but having moved slowly over the past month has helped.

We've already met a lot of our neighbors and LOVE them! We have a 13 year old across the street that is a dog watcher and soon to be a babysitter, which I couldn't be more thrilled about. We feel like we found the perfect home.

Sunday was a nice (but muggy) day so we took a break from moving and took a walk to the playpark in the neighborhood. It was about a 15 minute walk and Jack took the lead with Stanley. Even though Stanley still gives Jack a warning bark every now and then, they are becoming fast friends and some nights you'll find Stanley sleeping in Jack's room (which Jack LOVES).

We got back into the therapy routine today and Ethan has started to make a new noise. He now says ooooooooh, which is so exciting. It's funny what we now get excited about, which we took for granted (but still got excited about) with Jack. We're hoping to start Occupational Therapy in the next week or so.

Mom gave us some exciting news this afternoon -- Alaska Airlines will finally start flying direct from Seattle to Atlanta this fall (end of October). This now means that Mom and Dad will be able to come see us easier and hopefully more often, and the boys and I will be able to get up to Seattle a lot more with the use of Mom's buddy passes. We are beyond excited!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was

The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. We had looked in there back before Ethan was born and fell in love with the place so we thought we'd just take a look and see how much i

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back.
