Seattle bound ...
We had so much extra time at the airport due to a quick security check and a delayed flight. Luckily the boys had things to keep them busy.
It made for a long trip with a late arrival and no one sleeping on the flight. I think this will be the last time we take a night flight, now that the boys are older.
One of our favorite things to do when in Seattle is visit all the play parks we can find. It's a great way to burn off energy and fun to see all the different toys.
This was just a little neighborhood park in Normandy Park/Marvista that we stopped at on our way home from the grocery store.
It was a fun park that we found ourselves heading back to several times.
Both Wyatt and Ethan loved Nana and Granddad's cat Marco - and for the most part, Marco was very friendly with the boys. But there was a few times he had to let Ethan know not to pull his tail.
The boys loved soaking in all the Uncle Jason time they could get.
And Ethan has always been partial to Auntie Yves.
Silly boy!
Back to the park to play after dinner. If you look close enough you will see all three boys relaxing in a different park of the toy. Worn out from their obstacle course.
A little closer view.
Another day, another park.
This was such a unique and different toy and the boys really had to work hard at getting all around it without falling off.
Ethan enjoyed the smaller play toy.
So cool.
We enjoyed a visit from my cousin Robyn and her kids with a trip to another park and a picnic lunch.
We only had a couple hours with them but the kids had so much fun together. We're hoping to plan a trip with each other soon so the kids can really play!!
Our favorite park is Seahurst, right on the beach. There is a playground that looks over the water and lots of driftwood for the boys to jump on and sea glass for us all to hunt for.
Uncle Jason and Auntie Yves took the boys down to a fun center to play games and spend some time together.
Everyone had a great time.
Even Ethan enjoyed all the games.
All the goodies they collected from playing the games.
Ethan spent hours playing with the balloon bop toy they won.
Quickly, before the rain set it, we dashed off to see if we could find the eagles in the nest in their resident home down in the Kent valley.
It was tough to see the nest in the trees but we were able to watch one of the eagles fly out of it.
The boys enjoyed tossing the parachutes off Nana's back deck but then decided it was easier to do it from the stairwell.
And try to land it on and in the toy on the steps.
No visit to Seattle would be complete without a girl's get together!!
We've been friends since middle school / high school and I treasure their friendships!
