April Birthday's

Sorry that I've been absent with my posts, it's always hard to balance family and computer time.  Plus there was a little Italy vacation thrown in there for good measure!  Ha ha.

Before Jason and I left, we decided to celebrate Jason's birthday, since we were going to be gone from the boys on the actual birthday and we also had the pleasure of having his step-mom and my mom in town.  We were originally going to celebrate Wyatt's birthday too but he decided it should only be for Daddy.  Well, truth be told, he threw a fit about people watching him so we decided to wait on his.
We had a nice dinner at the local Cajun restaurant followed by a cake at home.  His traditional apple pie would follow upon our return home.

I found the perfect gift for Jason from the boys. Ever since Jack was a baby Jason has always referred to the boys as his little bears (Wyatt insists he is a puppy dog each and every time) and himself as the papa bear, so when I found this shirt I HAD to get it.  And he loves it!!

I also found a really cool book about Star Wars art.

Our other April birthday came at the end of the month and our youngest turned 4.  Where, oh where, does the time go?  I'm constantly telling him to stop growing up, but he refuses to listen.  This is Wyatt's birthday hug for Daddy.
Poor Wyatt had no wrapped gifts from us this year (why is wrapping a gift so hard for me to do???) but he could have cared less.
He was so excited to share with Jack what he got.
 Garden Warfare video game.
Present #2 was a great find of my on our local Facebook Yard Sale page - this awesome castle.  Daddy put it together while I was out and about in the afternoon and it has been a BIG hit ever since!
Next up we had cupcakes before dinner.  Hey, it's a birthday, we can do what we want!!
The neighbors came over to sing and take a cupcake home with them (and truth be told, I really did not want those cupcakes here.  They were a watermelon flavored cake and frosting and it was really artificial and fake tasting.  I've come a long way in my homemade family cooking these days).
 Happy Birthday To You!!
 Seriously, 4 already????
A rare photo of Mommy, so even though there's nothing of Wyatt except the back of his head, I'm keeping it so that the boys have pictures of me to look back on!!
And finally, gift #3 before bed.  And what was I thinking when I got this gem of a gift?!?
A Spiderman arm disc thrower, what could possibly go wrong in the hands of a four year old?  Or a 40 year old for that matter.  :-)
 Daddy "trying it out" first.
Then strapping on the weapon of mass destruction.
 Watch out --
Nobody is safe now!
Happy Birthday sweet Wyatt.  We love you so much.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
