Our Summer Seattle Visit, Part 1 of Many

I had meant to get to this a long time ago but life has gotten in the way....school started, Jason left for his two week Army training, we all got sick (Jason with pneumonia), work with Willow House was occupying a lot of my time, excuses, excuses, excuses.  Now I'm finding myself with a better work/life schedule so hopefully I can get caught up!

Anyway, these are some photos from our trip to Seattle this past July.  The boys and I had so much fun and had beautiful weather.
This first posting of photos was from our first full day and how we spend many of our evenings, out in Nana's front yard running around and burning off energy.  It's so nice to see how the boys played well together and really enjoyed their surroundings.
Here they are helping Nana pick flowers from her yard to fill her door bucket with.

And it such a beautiful yard to spend time i.

Ethan really enjoyed his time with Auntie Jake!
Jack is such a goofball sometimes - he cracks me up!

And Wyatt wants to be just like him - everything Jack does, Wyatt does and everything Jack says, Wyatt says.  Yet they have such different personalities.

This is why we got Wyatt into gymnastics.

Mom is so talented with her flowers!!
 Crazy boys!

The boys loved it when Uncle Jason showed up to play.

Even though we hadn't seen them in months, the boys had no issues seeing, playing and hanging out with their family.  I love that they love them so much, even though we live so far away.

And I can't wait to share more photos with you over the next few days...

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. We had looked in there back before Ethan was born and fell in love with the place so we thought we'd just take a look and see how much i...

Busy week

It's been a busy week with little things here and there, which is getting me ready for the busy summer ahead of us with gymnastics, swimming and all Ethan's therapies. Whew, I need a break from just thinking about it. We did have a nice walk down to our community playground this afternoon. Ethan couldn't stop laughing on the swings and the slide (he couldn't get enough of the slide) and Jack made a little friend! Great afternoon. Speaking of therapies, Ethan starts his occupational therapy next week and I'm so excited. We got the therapy notes back from his evaluation and, while I'm not positive on how I'm reading it, the scores say from poor to very poor. We have been very lucky that Ethan hasn't had any medical issues and so far he seems to be doing well with responding to his therapies, so I really want to make sure he has the best of everything. Today has just made me a little blue thinking about Ethan not being 100% of what other kids are and ...
