Summer in the South

We've been enjoying our hot summer with Daddy over the past month and settling into a nice routine with Wyatt. The boys are loving being big brothers and Wyatt is all smiles for Jack, which of course makes Jack beyond happy!

One of the first things we did was buy a shuffleboard table and then quickly bought a bowling game to go on top of it, which makes it more fun for the boys to enjoy the table. Our plan is to make our house the party house, so as the boys get older they will want to spend their time at home.

It's harder for Ethan to play but when we have the energy to hold him up there, he loves it.

I caught him reading a book the other night and it was so cute I had to get a picture of it. He is enjoying his stories so much more now. Before he basically just wanted to turn pages, now he really listens to the story.

The other thing we've been doing a lot of is hanging out with friends. Between BBQ's at home, meeting friends at the pool, and the random at home parties I've been attending, it's been a pretty full summer so far. Jason leaves on Monday to head back up to Ft. Bragg for a month (hopefully not any longer) so it will be interesting to see how much of this I can do on my own with these three boys.

Ethan has really taken to being a big brother and is doing much more big boy things now, like feeding himself, standing up, and trying to walk more!

Jack is loving being the big brother and checking on Wyatt all the time. Such great boys we have!

I've added more to my plate by signing up to be a Southern Living At Home consultant (a bit earlier than I had planned but the opportunity right) and will also be starting to addend an aerobics class as Jack's preschool church next month. I'm excited to start getting out more, getting some much needed exercise, and start bringing some more money into the house!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

Busy week

It's been a busy week with little things here and there, which is getting me ready for the busy summer ahead of us with gymnastics, swimming and all Ethan's therapies. Whew, I need a break from just thinking about it. We did have a nice walk down to our community playground this afternoon. Ethan couldn't stop laughing on the swings and the slide (he couldn't get enough of the slide) and Jack made a little friend! Great afternoon. Speaking of therapies, Ethan starts his occupational therapy next week and I'm so excited. We got the therapy notes back from his evaluation and, while I'm not positive on how I'm reading it, the scores say from poor to very poor. We have been very lucky that Ethan hasn't had any medical issues and so far he seems to be doing well with responding to his therapies, so I really want to make sure he has the best of everything. Today has just made me a little blue thinking about Ethan not being 100% of what other kids are and ...

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back. ...
