Around the House

Well, I survived my first full day without Jason, who left yesterday (Sunday) morning. And amazingly, I was more productive with him gone than with him here. How does that happen??? I was able to clean almost the whole house, plus get baby clothes organized and bigger sizes out for Wyatt. I still need to organize Ethan and Jack but it's a big start!

Aren't these the cutest pictures of Wyatt? I love that little smile. I can't believe he's already two months old! Time is just flying by and before I know it they will be heading off to college....

I'm keeping myself even busier by starting up a new business. I'm just a little crazy for doing this now with the boys so young but I've decided to become a Southern Living at Home consultant. I'm excited to see where this business can take me. I host my first show, my kick-off party, tomorrow night. If you want to check it out, visit my website at www.southernlivingathome.com/ellencornwell
The catalog is full of great pieces perfect for wedding, shower and birthday gifts, as well as for decorating your own home!

Jason and I have been working on decorating the Great Room and spent several days looking over fabric and designs for curtains and furniture. We settled on the plaid fabric below for six panels to hang between each window and then the gold fabric for a beautiful couch with the other fabric as accent pillows. We're starting with the curtains and will go from there...I can't wait to get the room done as I think it will look really beautiful and cozy!

These photos are of Ethan doing OT with Play-Doh. Jack and Daddy got in on the action too and they all had fun. I kept my distance and took photos, as the smell and touch of Play-Doh makes my toes curl. I know it's funny, but even as a child I NEVER liked to play with the stuff. Must be a texture thing!

The boys sure had fun though!

Then Daddy found a way for Ethan to finally play shuffleboard without having to be held. He and Jack had so much fun playing together.

Isn't Ethan such a big boy now? He's finally gotten legs long enough to get up on the couch by himself and he's really into looking at books these days - and really looking at them and not just turning pages.

And Jack has discovered video games, thanks to Daddy who found a Star Wars video game...

With Jack it was walking in Daddy's shoes. Well, this is Ethan's version, since he's not walking yet. Although he is doing a great job standing up and walking along the furniture.

This is crazy Jason, who is back at Ft. Bragg for the next month or so. He'll be home for the 4th of July but then we're not sure when we'll see him next. Hopefully we'll get a chance to go up and stay with him in North Carolina for a bit like we did last year!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
