Preparing for Easter

It's been a rough couple of days for me but I think I'm past the worst of it. I think it was just a 24 hour bug but I was almost convinced that I was in early labor. But I'm feeling pretty good today (of course the 80 degree day helped!) - just trying to take it easy and put my feet up as much as possible. It's hard with having to carry Ethan around everywhere, but I'm trying. And Jason is coming home tomorrow for a four day weekend, so that will help!

The photos above are of how Ethan likes to lay on the floor these days -- to watch TV and to play. I think it's the cutest thing ever!!

Today was Jack's Easter party at school. They had an Easter Egg Hunt before the party and then the parents showed up for the actual party. Ethan crawled right over to Jack and of course, Jack was happy as a clam that Ethan was there.

After they ate they all said a prayer in sign language...

and then sang a song!

Ethan enjoyed the show -- this time he didn't try to direct them, like last time.

Then they did a craft - putting stickers on a cross to take home.

These are some random photos of the boys playing. It was a rainy day and we decided to build a fort downstairs, after they were done playing in Jack's room.

I was laughing at Ethan putting the box on his head!

We've got a busy weekend ahead, with Easter and Daddy being home. Hopefully I will have lots of photos to share. We have a community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, followed by one at Jack's school. Then Sunday for Easter. Busy, busy, busy.

Happy Easter to you all!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
