Out and About in Seattle

Wednesday we spent the afternoon at the Pacific Science Center with Grandma Christy. The boys LOVED it and we had to drag Jack out of there when they closed. Ethan mostly just wanted to crawl around but Jack wanted to do every single station -- and he paid close attention to everything he learned.

This is Jack lying in the dinosaurs footprint.

This is Jack in the space section.

We spent a lot of time in the bug section and he and Grandma had fun walking through the butterfly garden area. Ethan and I stayed out so that he could crawl around as much as possible.

Ethan tried to put together a standing bug puzzle. Then he and Jack had fun "playing" chess! I think it ended up as a battle instead, as every piece got knocked down in the process.

We spent the most time in the toddler play area. Both boys really enjoyed it in here. There was music for Ethan to play, and water for Jack to play in and both enjoyed discovering all the corners of the area. At one point, Ethan came down the slide then stood almost straight up and turned toward the slide to do it again. I really think he'll be walking soon!!

Here Jack was touching starfish and sea anenomes.

Here Jack is playing Tic-Tac-Toe with this big computer.

Ethan was happiest when he could find a mirror to talk to.

We brought the car seats in from Grandma's car and the next morning, Ethan crawled over and made his way into his seat. I guess he was anxious to get to the aquarium with Auntie Jake!

The boys really enjoyed the aquarium and all it had to offer. We got to see a suba diver feeding the fish, an octopus who was very active and moving about, otters and jellyfish and all sorts of pretty fish.

Auntie Jake and Jack even became jellyfish for a few minutes.

It was a fun and busy few days in the city and both boys had a blast. Now I've been enjoying a few days of doing nothing around the house. I'm 7 months pregnant now and it's rough looking after these two boys -- they wear me out!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
