A Date with Two Cute Boys, a Pumpkin and a Knife!

Jack picked out his pumpkin yesterday so we sat out in the hot sunshine to carve it! Jack didn't like the mushy pumpkin goo but Ethan had the best time playing with it and trying to eat it. I scooped it into the bowl and Ethan scooped it out! Jack drew on the pumpkin what he wanted me to carve out. I think we have a pumpkin with four eyes in front and two in back, a nose between the eyes and a mouth that looks like another eye!








Jack had a hard time carrying the pumpkin so he got smart and decided to put it in the back of his dump truck and drive it out to the front porch. Then I snapped few photos of what our front porch looks like.




In some Ethan news, during his physical therapy on Tuesday, we decided to try to get him to climb the stairs, since he's been crawling over to them and looking up them longingly. In the past he'd always climb up one and then sit there. Well, this time, all on his own, he climbed up the stairs TWICE! I was shocked and so happy. But again, that is Ethan, he waits until he can do something perfectly before he bothers to do it at all. I love that little guy!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. Busy week

It's been a busy week with little things here and there, which is getting me ready for the busy summer ahead of us with gymnastics, swimming and all Ethan's therapies. Whew, I need a break from just thinking about it. We did have a nice walk down to our community playground this afternoon. Ethan couldn't stop laughing on the swings and the slide (he couldn't get enough of the slide) and Jack made a little friend! Great afternoon. Speaking of therapies, Ethan starts his occupational therapy next week and I'm so excited. We got the therapy notes back from his evaluation and, while I'm not positive on how I'm reading it, the scores say from poor to very poor. We have been very lucky that Ethan hasn't had any medical issues and so far he seems to be doing well with responding to his therapies, so I really want to make sure he has the best of everything.
