The Move Is Almost Over

Well, another crazy weekend is behind us and we are closer to being fully moved into the new house.

Friday we had an Occupational Therapist give Ethan an evaluation so we can get him started on weekly OT sessions. He did pretty good and she told us he was at about a 9-12 month age as far as what he can do. We're pretty happy with it and are just excited to get the therapy started.

Saturday we had Jack's t-ball game and then back to moving into the new house. We picked up our new rug for the keeping room and are really happy with the way it looks in the room. It won't be long before it's covered in dog hair!!!

We brought the dogs over this weekend to check out the new place and they were so happy to finally see where we've been going 10 times every weekend. Our street has dogs in about every house and they all roam free so it's nice to have more dogs in the neighborhood that don't care if our dogs run up to the them to say hi. In one of the backyards there is a bush that all the dogs seem to play in. they call it the doggy clubhouse.
This is a view of the keeping room from the kitchen and the boys are happily playing, getting used to the new digs.

As you can see, the old house is now pretty empty. We hope to be sleeping in the new place next weekend.

Ethan and Jack have been having a blast playing with all the packing paper.

Tomorrow is another busy day with an eye appointment for Ethan in the morning and a make-up t-ball game for Jack in the evening.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
