More Seattle Photos

It was so nice to see my friends while I was in town and I loved having a coffee playdate for the boys. Tabbi and Natasha have kids the same age as Jack and Ethan so it was a lot of fun for the boys to go over to Tabbi's to play, and it was so nice. And to have Janine (who lives nearby) join us was icing on the cake!

One of Ethan's favorite things was to ride on Grandma Alice's "Cadillac" just like Jack used to at this age. Plus it was fun to show him off to all the other people at her home. They enjoyed seeing Ethan's smiling face riding around the place.

The day before the wedding we headed into Seattle to Ride the Duck and see the Space Needle. We stopped at a park in Queen Anne, overlooking the city to get a photo of my favorite view of the city. It reminded me of living in Queen Anne numerous years ago!

While riding on "The Duck" I got a great photo of the Pike Place Market, another of my favorite Seattle places. I used to work at the end of the market and I miss the days of walking there during lunch to get fresh flowers and yummy food!

After the Duck we headed up to the top of the Space Needle with our cousin and his family from out of town, which we haven't seen in YEARS! We had the best time and Jack LOVED the Space Needle. Afterward, the boys left with Nana and Granddad and I got a chance to hang out in the city with Jason, Adele, Neil, Helen and Isabella. We had the best time catching up and I couldn't have asked for a better night.

The day of the wedding was fantastic! Jason and Adele had PERFECT weather and the location in Kirkland was beautiful. It was a small, intimate, very emotional ceremony and a wonderful reception. Jack was the ring bearer and did a pretty good job. He got a bit bored and ended up on the floor tossing the ring pillow (with the rings attached, I might add) around until I stopped him!

The reception was at a restaurant just down the road, so we all walked there in a wedding procession. Once we got there, Jack fell asleep and basically slept the whole time. Ethan had a great time playing, having slept most of the ceremony on Grandma Christy's shoulder! Following the reception was an after party up at Aunt Sherry's. It was another great party and an excellent way to cap the day's events!

The next day we had an open house at Mom and Dad's for the new couple and for me and the boys. It was another beautiful day and we had a nice casual afternoon with friends and family stopping in to visit.

Since Nana and Granddad live by the airport one of Jack's favorite things to do is go watch the airplanes. And now that they have the third runway open at Seatac Airport, the plane come in right over your head. So on our last day in Seattle, we spent some time watching the airplanes land.

We had a great trip, and while we were sad to leave, we knew it was time to get home and get ready to pack up the house and move to our new home.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
