OK, I'm back to trying to post all our England stories and pictures. But before I do, I forgot to mention in my last blog that Ethan has started talking within the past week. And by talking, I mean making all the consonant sounds - ba ba, da da, ma ma, goo goo, etc. It's very exciting.
Anyway, back to England. Our first Thursday in England we spent at the Tower of London. That's the castle that all the Kings stayed at, kept all the prisoners in, and when a new King was crowned, they would stay there and then march down to Westminster to be crowned. It currently houses the Crown Jewels and has a great exhibit of the armory and weapons.
We were supposed to meet Jason and Adele (my brother and soon to be sister-in-law) on Friday, but they were coming in from Paris and there was a fire in the tunnel on Thursday and they weren't able to get in until Saturday. But by Friday, we were all getting a bit tired from all the walking and sightseeing, so we were able to just relax a bit. We checked out Harrod's Department Store and then walked through Hyde Park and over to Marble Arch. Then we walked down Oxford Street (one of the busiest shopping streets). And that brought an end to our week in London.
