Countdown to Christmas

Wyatt saw this Santa hat at the grocery store and begged for it. This is how much he loved it!

Jack had a busy December with his box lacrosse tournaments. I was admiring his medal and he told me I could wear it if I wanted, so I did. Ha ha!

The countdown to Christmas always involves Christmas parties at the kids school. Ethan's class party was more just the parents watching how they start their day and go through their morning routine (which I absolutely preferred over a party) and Wyatt's party included a waffle bar and several stations to create different crafts. Since I was helping to run the waffle bar I didn't have a chance to get a lot of photos but Wyatt sure had a good time.

With Jack being in middle school there are no more class parties for him. Instead we got to enjoy the holiday band concert. Here are how Ethan and Wyatt enjoyed it! In the back of the cafeteria, watching their technology!

You can't see him but they sure sounded good.

The tree got a Santa hat topper and lots of gifts underneath. It's so pretty so see it with all the presents and it's much nicer to wrap in the days leading up to Christmas instead of doing it all on Christmas Eve, which is what we used to do.

And what is Christmas without Christmas cookies?! I love that I still have a helper in the kitchen with me to decorate.

He sure was proud of himself!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
