Last Days of Summer Vacation

Just a few photos from around the house as we wrapped up our last couple weeks of summer vacation.

 Just being silly!

My big project was clearing out the old veggie plot and putting in flowers instead. I'm much happier - plus I love the addition of the planter chairs my friend made for me.

Jack had his first sleepaway camp in July - four days at lacrosse camp at Berry College; about an hour NW of us.

His first taste of dorm life - and he LOVED it!

 His brothers had fun too!

 His North Paulding lacrosse teammates.

Ethan has really taken to his chore of unloading the bottom half of the dishwasher (Wyatt does the top). Guess it's time to find more for him to do around the house.

Wyatt and his collection of whales.
I love that he still loves his animal friends.

Of course plenty of time was spent at the pool!

Jason set up a booth at our neighborhood festival to sell our 7Hills Honey.

We spent one afternoon at the skating rink with Wyatt's friend Sam, since they enjoyed their field trip to the rink at the end of the school year so much.

Ethan really loved the climbing area.

By the time we left, Wyatt had gotten pretty good at skating.

Nothing beats curling up with a good book.

And chilling with your puppy dog.

These two little ones were getting a bit stir crazy by the end of summer vacation.

Wyatt definitely takes after Jason and his artist talents.

We spent a quick afernoon at the skate park so Jack could get a little skating in. While there Ethan conquered his fear of this bridge. At first I had to carry him over, then he scooted on his bottom, and then he walked it.

Of course I couldn't get a photo of it.

Way off in the distance you can see Jack on his skateboard.

Wyatt is definitely my monkey and always climbing to the top of something!

After the park we stopped to get the boys a fish. Jack's is Dragon...

And Wyatt's is Blue Fish Warrior.

With Granny and Grandma coming into town to watch the boys while Jason and I took a business trip, I had to clean up the guest room (which tends to end up our throw everything we don't need in there room). I came across this old toy of Wyatt's and he's had fun ever since playing with it. Rockem Sockem Robots.

It's getting real - we had our Meet and Greet with the teachers and then off to get frozen yogurt to celebrate the end of summer and the start of school.

But not before a few more days of playing.

Seriously, this kid needs to be in gymnastics!

Granny came into town first and we were able to take her to her first lacrosse game - watching our hometown Atlanta Blaze!

Photo bomb from Jack's lacrosse teammates!

Both boys came home with a game ball - awesome night for everyone!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
