Summer Days

 Say it ain't so...just over a week is left of our summer vacation. 
I'm not ready to send them back, and I know they're not ready, but at least I know we've had a great break.

I have about 300 pictures from our trip to Seattle to weed through and post and blog but I think I'm going to have to wait until the boys go back to school to find the time.  In the meantime, here are just a few random pictures.

Above is Wyatt following in Jack's footsteps.  I can't believe that Jack is only two belts away from being a Black Belt in tae-kwan-do!  So proud of him!!
 One of my summer projects was to teach Wyatt his alphabet and help Ethan with his sight words. I thought these magnetic letters would help.
 They've all enjoyed playing with them but I don't know if any of my goals were accomplished.
 Every time I comb Wyatt's hair after a bath I say, "oh how handsome," so now he asks me to make him look handsome. It's the cutest thing ever!!

So here is Jack with his handsome hair. We all really like it combed over to the side.
And here's Wyatt with his handsome hair.  Ethan I can barely touch so there is no photo.  But he's handsome too!!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. We had looked in there back before Ethan was born and fell in love with the place so we thought we'd just take a look and see how much i...

Busy week

It's been a busy week with little things here and there, which is getting me ready for the busy summer ahead of us with gymnastics, swimming and all Ethan's therapies. Whew, I need a break from just thinking about it. We did have a nice walk down to our community playground this afternoon. Ethan couldn't stop laughing on the swings and the slide (he couldn't get enough of the slide) and Jack made a little friend! Great afternoon. Speaking of therapies, Ethan starts his occupational therapy next week and I'm so excited. We got the therapy notes back from his evaluation and, while I'm not positive on how I'm reading it, the scores say from poor to very poor. We have been very lucky that Ethan hasn't had any medical issues and so far he seems to be doing well with responding to his therapies, so I really want to make sure he has the best of everything.
