Kisses from the Cornwell's

I hope you've all had a nice Valentine's Day.  Nothing fancy around here, as I'm getting over a bug and Jason is in Miami for work.  But the holiday is mostly for the boys anyway!!
I got them some cupcakes and goodies, and I have a caramel apple waiting for me once the little love bugs get into bed.
We had a crazy morning taking Ethan to the doctor then running several errands, so I was extra nice and let Wyatt have a Valentine cupcake after lunch instead of waiting until after dinner.

He was so cute to watch!!
We don't go overboard with gifts but who can resist a new animal friend, a couple of special candies and a balloon?
It's all about the presentation!  Even the simplest of gifts looks bigger and better if dressed up a bit.
Jack had to make his own Valentine card collector box at home for his school card exchange and this is his box with his goodies!!

It's near impossible to get a photo of them altogether anymore so I had to snap this even though Wyatt was crying (Jack was on the step stool with him instead of just standing next to him) and Ethan wasn't looking at the camera.  I'll take what I can get!
Then it was time for cards from Nana and Grangrad (this is currently how Wyatt pronounced Granddad).
We got them on the computer for a quick video call before we rushed off to Ethan's therapy and Mom rushed off to work.
But the boys enjoyed their cards.

Then they got their new animal friends.  A monkey for Ethan...
 ...a puppy for Jack...
 ...and a lion for Wyatt.
 Then it was balloon time!
These boys just love to play with balloons!

Sending you all big hugs and kisses on this Valentine's evening.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

Master Closet Overhaul

We have this ridiculously large walk-in closet in our master bedroom and over time it has been overtaken with STUFF. So I decided I was tired of looking at the mess and it was time to clean it out and up.  Take a look...  I can't believe it went from this... To this!  I love walking in here now and actually find myself looking for reasons to go into my closet.  Along with just weeding out old clothes and items I no longer wore or needed (you should see the pile of stuff that was donated!) I made some changes to the room too.   One of them was my shoe racks. I've long wanted a tall shoe rack to go alongside the built in shelves but I knew it would never get off my husband's to-do list so I took matters into my own hands!!  It's not exactly what I had envisioned but it works and I'm happy with it. Thanks Target for the shelves.  Over the past few years I have developed a deep love for scarves and now own several....
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...
