Jack's 7th Birthday Party

This past Sunday we celebrated Jack's 7th birthday, which is actually tomorrow (September 14).  We got a big bouncy for the weekend - which Wyatt LOVED.
Jack headed straight out into the backyard once he got home from school last Friday afternoon.
He even got Ethan out there with him.

 Look at that smile!
The boys had so much fun - as long as there wasn't too many people in there.
Jack and Wyatt thought it was more fun to deflate the "castle" as Wyatt called it, and walk on top of it.

 Brother's laughing...
 ...playing...
 ...being crazy and having fun!
It was a Plant's vs. Zombies birthday themed party (video game).
The zombies are attacking the plants!!!

 The candy side...
 ...and the snack side.
Time to sing ... unfortunately the cupcakes were too tempting for our neighbor so I couldn't get a good picture of just Jack and his cupcakes.
 "Happy Birthday to you!"
Blow out those candles and make that wish.
 Did someone say cake???
Let Mommy get it ready for you.
Now that they are all sugared up it's time to play.
Jason and Matt enjoying the backyard patio and watching from above.
 Time for some presents.
Savannah was so excited to give Jack his present - which was a bow and arrow.
 On to the next one.
 Halo toys.
And of course the Lego toy - which Jack put together all by himself while Daddy put together the Halo toys.
Another Halo toy - perfect for when the friends are over so no one fights over toys.
Of course Wyatt thinks it's his.
We took full advantage of having the "castle" all weekend long and enjoyed some quality family bouncy time before we had to roll it up and take it back.  We had a great birthday party and look forward to what year 7 brings to our oldest joy!
Happy Birthday, Jack.  We love you.
XOXO

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

Master Closet Overhaul

We have this ridiculously large walk-in closet in our master bedroom and over time it has been overtaken with STUFF. So I decided I was tired of looking at the mess and it was time to clean it out and up.  Take a look...  I can't believe it went from this... To this!  I love walking in here now and actually find myself looking for reasons to go into my closet.  Along with just weeding out old clothes and items I no longer wore or needed (you should see the pile of stuff that was donated!) I made some changes to the room too.   One of them was my shoe racks. I've long wanted a tall shoe rack to go alongside the built in shelves but I knew it would never get off my husband's to-do list so I took matters into my own hands!!  It's not exactly what I had envisioned but it works and I'm happy with it. Thanks Target for the shelves.  Over the past few years I have developed a deep love for scarves and now own several....
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...
