Random Thoughts

We enjoyed a lovely week off school last week, thanks to Spring Break.  I'll post Easter pics soon but here are just a few random photos of the boys and stuff.
This is a school shirt Ethan wore home from school the day of their fun run - isn't he cute in that gigantic shirt?  His bus driver told me that she got the privilege of walking with Ethan around the track and that she loved it.  I'm so glad that everyone seems to enjoy his company so much.  I guess it's true that kids reserve their bad behavior for outside the home.  I don't mind that so much if it means they behave themselves in public, as my biggest accomplishment as their mother is to teach them manners.
Can you see Wyatt and Stanley back there along the fence?  Wyatt reminds me so much of Jack at that age.  They both love(d) to just go for walks in the wooded yard.  Of course, this backyard is much more treacherous than our last one, and Wyatt loves to walk along the edge of the top slope.  And there is Stanley but don't be fooled.  He's not just being a loyal dog, following his master, he's following Wyatt because he has food and is notorious for giving it to the dogs!
I seriously can't keep him off that hill.  The worst part about it is all the ticks he comes in with.  We've pulled at least 7 off him in the past few weeks - the worst being out of his ear.
Jack is loosing his teeth left and right these days - in fact, he just came home from school and had lost his other top front tooth on the bus ride home!
The tooth fairy forgot to leave him his dollar last time, but luckily the tooth fell behind the bed so I was able to explain that the dollar had fallen behind the bed too.  This is Giraffey, who has been with Jack since birth (it was the first baby item my mom bought, I think even before I was pregnant, or as soon as I became pregnant) and is his favorite animal friend.  He's been everywhere with us, including England, Phoenix and several trips to Seattle and the beach.  Anyway, he was holding onto the dollar for Jack until he got home from school.
My sweet Ethan!  He looks asleep but he's actually just laying out watching TV.
I have the best friends!  During Spring Break we got together with Lisa and her daughter Makenna to play at the park and Lisa brought me flowers and little gifts for the boys for Easter.  She has truly been a blessing to me and I'm thankful for her friendship.
This is Jack and his best friend Kennedy, who lives two doors down.  They have so much fun together and I just thought this was a sweet picture of them sitting together reading.
This is the view from where I sit and communicate to you all.
Hope you all are enjoying Spring in your neck of the woods.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
