The Boys

I was just looking through all my photos and realized that I've got so many photos that I haven't posted yet...one day I hope to get caught up. But I'm still playing catch-up from over the weekend.

I did two back-to-back Willow House events (basically I worked all day) on Saturday and then Sunday we got our Christmas tree and I haven't slowed down since.

Here are just a few of the boys playing and with each other. Scout is one of Ethan's favorite toys (it sings and talks to him) and, of course, Wyatt loves it too. But Ethan won't let him have it. Hopefully Santa will bring Wyatt his own.

I can't believe how big Ethan and Wyatt are getting. Ethan is now taking about 13 steps independently and can even hold a small toy when he walks. And he wants to hold our hand and walk a lot more too, which is a big improvement.

Wyatt is crawling everywhere, except what he really wants to do is walk, since all he hears from us is encouragement for Ethan to walk. I wouldn't be surprised if they both start fully walking at the same time. I just wish Wyatt would stay little for a bit longer...

Mommy got a rare chance to nap with Wyatt! His bottom two teeth and coming through so he has been pretty fussy lately. I'm basically a stickler to making him sleep in his crib but it sure is a nice treat when he falls asleep on you. I can see why this is Jason's favorite thing. Unfortunately, I usually have way too much to do to nap for an hour during the day, so I'll take this rare treat when I can! I know these boys are going to be big before too long and not want to snuggle with Mommy.

I love how these boys (for the most part) love to play together. I think Ethan and Wyatt will be really close friends as they grow up. And there is definitely a soft spot in Jack for Wyatt. I can't wait to see how they interact with each other over the years.

Now we're just getting ready for Christmas. We've got the house decorated and the holiday baking started. I hope to post pictures soon. I still need to share our trip to Florida. If only there was more time in the day or another me...one can dream!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

Busy week

It's been a busy week with little things here and there, which is getting me ready for the busy summer ahead of us with gymnastics, swimming and all Ethan's therapies. Whew, I need a break from just thinking about it. We did have a nice walk down to our community playground this afternoon. Ethan couldn't stop laughing on the swings and the slide (he couldn't get enough of the slide) and Jack made a little friend! Great afternoon. Speaking of therapies, Ethan starts his occupational therapy next week and I'm so excited. We got the therapy notes back from his evaluation and, while I'm not positive on how I'm reading it, the scores say from poor to very poor. We have been very lucky that Ethan hasn't had any medical issues and so far he seems to be doing well with responding to his therapies, so I really want to make sure he has the best of everything. Today has just made me a little blue thinking about Ethan not being 100% of what other kids are and ...

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back. ...
