Snow in Georgia!

Well, I'm not doing too well at posting on a regular basis, unless you think once a week is ok. There just hasn't been too much going on this week. I've been trying to keep things pretty low-key and not do too much. And with Jason coming home early on Thursday for a 4 day weekend, the week went pretty fast. Oh, I did get Jack signed up for T-ball, which should start in a few weeks!


Maddy (from next door) has been a big help to me, coming over a few times a week to play with the boys. It gives me time to get things done without the boys underfoot.

This is a picture of Jack making his first-ever crescent rolls for dinner. He loved it!


It was actually colder here on Friday than it was in Alaska! And we had about 20 minutes of snow on Saturday. The kids had a blast playing outside in it, even though it didn't stick.





Saturday night we had Kim, Maddy and Oskar over for dinner. Steve (husband/dad) is a Customs Agent and is working up in DC for the next 3 months, so Kim and I are going through the same issues with no husband at home. We've been trying to get together on a regular basis for our sanity (although it's easier for me right now since Jason does come home).



Jack just loves the kids company and Ethan is a big Maddy fan as well. As you can see from this picture, he wore himself out.

He's second tooth has just popped through so he's been a bit of a bear lately. Poor little guy. Hope it gets better with each tooth.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back. ...

The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there.
