Long Days of December

Ethan came home from school one day be silly so I thought I would take some photos of him. He cracks me up!

I bought Amber a new dog bed but between Ethan, Wyatt and Bandit, she doesn't get to sleep on in much.

So cute to see Bandit with the boys.

Jack got invited to play box lacrosse with a really good team this year and we've really enjoyed watching him play. It's played in an area and is very fast paced and lots of fun.

Very aggressive and different from regular lacrosse.

We go into the playoffs this weekend as the only undefeated team. Do you see the score? Just about every game was like this.

Wyatt had to make a three dimensional snowman for a school project.

I think he did a pretty good job!

Our silly elf got into a lot of mischief this season!

I added (well, technically Jason added them) to our dining nook.

 I'm in love.
They might be a tad high (I have a bad habit of doing that) but I think I want to add an even longer shelve below the bottom one to help even it out.

I also added snowflake decals to the front door. These may, or may not, still be up.

I think Jingle James wants to go to school with the boys.

This dabbing thing is getting a little out of control.

We went to get our Christmas tree from the local nursery and they had a whole section of flocked trees that was the perfect setting for some pictures of the boys.

It's gorgeous but near impossible to get them to all smile AND look at me at the same time.

 Time to decorate the tree!

 A rare mama-bear photo!

I love sitting in a dark room with a lit Christmas tree.

So very peaceful.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. We had looked in there back before Ethan was born and fell in love with the place so we thought we'd just take a look and see how much i...

Busy week

It's been a busy week with little things here and there, which is getting me ready for the busy summer ahead of us with gymnastics, swimming and all Ethan's therapies. Whew, I need a break from just thinking about it. We did have a nice walk down to our community playground this afternoon. Ethan couldn't stop laughing on the swings and the slide (he couldn't get enough of the slide) and Jack made a little friend! Great afternoon. Speaking of therapies, Ethan starts his occupational therapy next week and I'm so excited. We got the therapy notes back from his evaluation and, while I'm not positive on how I'm reading it, the scores say from poor to very poor. We have been very lucky that Ethan hasn't had any medical issues and so far he seems to be doing well with responding to his therapies, so I really want to make sure he has the best of everything. Today has just made me a little blue thinking about Ethan not being 100% of what other kids are and ...
