March Fun

I realize it's been awhile since I've posted and the last things I did share were our Spring Break and Easter pictures -- but I neglected the whole month of March!!  So, here are some random pictures of the boys playing and some of the things we did.

The boys always want to do whatever Daddy does so here they all sat up to paint some miniatures - one of Jason's favorite things to do.

Wyatt has quite the eye for it, despite being so young.

The boys always love getting holiday cards from Nana and Granddad.
Here is Wyatt getting his St. Patrick's Day card while his brothers are still at school.

Digging in to find his coins!!

March is often when we find ourselves working out in the yard because that's typically when it starts to warm up here in Georgia.  This Spring we had A LOT of rain, which always bring the hillside down to a certain degree. Over the past few years we have slowly been adding plants to anchor it in. Some plants work and some don't, but we've decided that two of our favorites are rosemary (we fell in love with them during our trip to Italy last April) and Creeping Thyme.

We are hoping the Creeping Thyme will really spread out over the edge of the hill and down the steps, as that's where a lot of the erosion is taking place.

We also like the look of Phlox and the bees love them. They are a lovely boarder plant so we added them to the top of the hill with a row of rosemary below.

I'm working with the boys to learn our phone number and address so I wrote it on the back door in hopes that seeing it every time they walk by will help it sink in.

Then they can just write it over and over below.

There is always time for some outside fun!

Now THIS is one cool dude, with his sunglasses and skateboard. Love it!

 Ethan was trying to hula-hoop.

But there's more than one way to play with it.

Then it was time to ride the skateboard.

And here are two randomly placed pictures of Wyatt playing with the castle pieces Daddy has been collecting.

Now Wyatt is trying to hula-hoop too.

Don't worry boys, Mommy can't do it very well either!

Ethan and Jack finally opening their St. Patrick's Day cards.

 And counting coins.

Then we FINALLY gave Ethan his birthday presents. Only two months late. Bad Mommy.  But it's kinda nice to have a child who doesn't care about presents or getting a toy every.single.time we go to the store.

 Educational...

 ...and fun!

I'm happy that the boys still all love this playset.

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
