Spring Break Fun

We are wrapping up the last day of our Spring Break and counting down the seven weeks until Summer Vacation!  We enjoyed our week at home playing with Grandma Christy!
Now that our weather seems to finally be staying in Spring (yay for sunny, warm days) the lizards are out and about and the boys are loving chasing and catching them!
 Look at that smile!
We celebrated the warm weather and having Grandma in town with a backyard fire and roasting of s'mores - yummy!
Jack and Wyatt had fun roasting the marshmallows.
The boys LOVED having Grandma in town.  While we did see her last summer when we traveled to Seattle, it had been about a year and a half since she'd been out to visit us.
Ethan spent almost all week playing with the tablet, going from game to movie to game - and loving being able to do it all by himself.

We did spend some time at the park, as well as a fun afternoon bowling and playing with friends at an indoor play center, but we also enjoyed some down time at home.
There was also birthday's to be celebrated (I'll post pictures from Jason's later), including our next-door neighbor's 2nd birthday.  One of the goodies we brought home was silly string.
Jack and Wyatt had fun with that!
I think tomorrow morning's early wake up time will come as a shock to everyone (mostly me, I imagine) but we only have a few more weeks before we can celebrate summer!!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was

The Olympics

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've last posted a message. I guess it's been due to a combination of being really busy and not having much to say! Is that a contradiction? We've been letting Jack stay up late since Friday so that he could enjoy the Olympics. He really enjoyed the opening ceremony and has been in awe of the gymnastics. We went to a BBQ on Sunday night and just as we were getting ready to leave they put the ladies gymnastics on and all the kids say and watched. We had to drag Jack away. In other news, we're getting ready to do a really crazy thing. After only two months of having no debt and house payment, we're putting in an offer on a new home! We really had no plans to do this, but when we went to visit our friends on Sunday, we decided to drive around and look at the houses there. We had looked in there back before Ethan was born and fell in love with the place so we thought we'd just take a look and see how much i

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back.
